DMX Animal Cruelty Report Results

Authorities investigating animal cruelty allegations on rapper DMX's Arizona property have issued their gruesome findings.

The investigation stems from an Aug. 24 raid of DMX's Phoenix home, where police were probing reports of animal neglect. Police seized 12 live pit bulls, numerous weapons and about a quarter-ounce of marijuana.

Now forensic reports from a veterinarian examiner from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office states that the condition of animal remains found on the property were "significantly decomposed, the head and rear quarters and legs had a white trash bag around them; the body was wrapped in a dirt-stained beige fitted sheet and inside a clear plastic bag; all placed inside a white body bag." The forensic report also stated that "severe decomposition prevented further examination." There was determinable evidence of injury to just one set of remains.

A detective's summary of the cruelty allegations lists seven different visits to DMX's home, from August 3-22, with several attempts made by the County Sheriff to resolve the issue of alleged neglect of dogs at the residence. The detective actually gave the dogs water. Finally, after no improvement of conditions, a raid took place August 24, seizing 12 pit bulls.

No charges have been filed against the 36-year-old rapper. The matter is still under investigation. Click here to view the documents.

I'm not the poster you were responding to, but i highly recommend reading The Pitbull Placebo by Karen Delise. She presents the long history of "bad dogs" in the US - going back to the 19th century when bloodhounds were the "dangerous killer dogs." She also shows that the vast majority of human dog bites have more to do with the owners purpose in having a dog than the breed of dog. For example, a guard dog, whether it's a lab or a german shepherd has a greater chance of biting simply because that is what it is trained to do. Finally, she also explores the changes in media styles that have led to modern hysteria about "killer" pit bulls.

Educate yourself - it's worthwhile.

62. is anyone surprised by these allegations? you can tell just by looking at this bastard's face that he views dogs as nothing more than property to be tortured and killed by him and his sick, sadistic friends. Ironic in that a certain segment of society is always bitching about how badly they're treated, yet when it comes to defenseless animals their evil knows no bounds. we need to start deporting these thugs back to africa.

65. Why are we surprised???? I am certainly not. Pitbulls are not the kind of dogs that you have around children, breed and have several of if there is not something wrong with the owner. Guns, drugs, baby mommas, thug hanger ons = deranged rapper, professional athlete and drug lords. It certainly does not equate to upstanding citizen.

DMX is a male black Britney Spears and needs to get help for his demons. I pray for him and his family.

Just in case we need these awesome quotes:

"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love."
         Pythagoras, mathematician
"The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men."
Leonardo da Vinci, artist and scientist

"To a man whose mind is free there is something even more intolerable in the sufferings of animals than in the sufferings of man. For with the latter it is at least admitted that suffering is evil and that the man who causes it is a criminal. But thousands of animals are uselessly butchered every day without a shadow of remorse. If any man were to refer to it, he would be thought ridiculous. And that is the unpardonable crime."
Romain Rolland, author, Nobel Prize 1915

"If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth -- beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals -- would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals?"
George Bernard Shaw, playwright, Nobel Prize 1925

"What is it that should trace the insuperable line? ...The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?"
        Jeremy Bentham, philosopher

"In their behavior toward creatures, all men are Nazis. Human beings see oppression vividly when they're the victims. Otherwise they victimize blindly and without a thought."
Isaac Bashevis Singer, author, Nobel Prize 1978

"Our task must be to free ourselves . . . by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty."
"Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."
Albert Einstein, physicist, Nobel Prize 1921

"I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being."
          Abraham Lincoln, 16th U.S. President

"You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity."
          Ralph Waldo Emerson, essayist

"As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields."
"What I think about vivisection is that if people admit that they have the right to take or endanger the life of living beings for the benefit of many, there will be no limit to their cruelty."
          Leo Tolstoy author

"I cannot fish without falling a little in self-respect...always when I have done I feel it would have been better if I had not fished."
          Henry David Thoreau, author

"While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal conditions on this earth?"
"Atrocities are not less atrocities when they occur in laboratories and are called medical research."
          George Bernard Shaw

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
"To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being."
        Mahatma Gandhi, statesman and philosopher

"I am not interested to know whether vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't...The pain which it inflicts upon unconsenting animals is the basis of my enmity toward it, and it is to me sufficient justification of the enmity without looking further."
          Mark Twain, author

"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."

73. These people are animals. They have a lifestyle that abuses animals for their pleasure. It's sick and depraved and I am so happy that they are not going to be tolerated and that people are taking notice and doing something to stop this inhumane practice. It's really sad for these animals and they truly suffer. Its time they were held accountable and they be charged for abusing these animals and charged to fullest extent of the laws.

74. THANK YOU JEN, for you intelligent, well researched post. I've copied and sent it to all of my companion dog friends. Bree - very sorry for the loss of your Labs. My husband and I have two, and they are sweet and loving with everyone. I suggest you volunteer at your local shelter, if you are looking to do something to help animals. They ALWAYS need dog walkers, groomers, etc. You may find your new best friend! Ty and Elle are both shelter adoptees.

To the ignorant person that wants certain breeds "banned" in America, shame on you. Puppies are innocent, blank slates, born to love and must be taught (brutally )to fight.

75. A law should be passed preventing certain people from buying pit bulls. The poor dogs have a bad reputation that they do NOT deserve. It is the people that are screwing up these fine animals. Pitiful. Jail the bas****s that are doing this to dogs.
